As you go…

Disciples that make other disciples. That is the goal.

To see people come to Christ, learn, grow, and then share Him with others, thus repeating the process.

A great command. A great commission.

It’s easy to get hung up on the “go.”

Going is difficult. Going seems like it will take us far away. In reality, the “go” simply means, “as you go” or “as you are going.”

It is something we are to do as we live our daily life. We don’t have to be missionaries to a foreign land. We have plenty of people we interact with everyday that need the gospel.

The command is given to all of us. Not just pastors. Not just men. Not just adults. Every believer in Christ.

Yes, you, the bank teller, the retail clerk, the stay-at-home mom, and the grandfather, can all live the great commission lifestyle.

Sometimes God isn’t calling us to great things that make us known to everyone. Sometimes He is simply calling us to live out the gospel in our everyday life. To be faithful and obedient.

Today, as you go, live out the commission and the commandment. Go make disciples that make disciples. You aren’t going alone. As you go, He is with you.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:19-20
