My heart

My hear cries out to the Maker of the rain. Who waters the lily and the grass the same.

My heart cries out to the one who has always offered the greatest sacrifice for me. A pure life, taken with blood, given without fight, in my stead.

My heart cries out for the ability to grow the beginner, feed the hungry soul, capture the imagination of the seeker – in a way that delights their heart and points to the Maker.

My heart cries out for deeper holiness and sanctification. An opportunity to experience more of Him. More of the One who walked on water, healed the lame, caused the blind to see.

My heart cries out to the One who guards my slumber, protects my life, places opportunity before my steps, and catches me when I fall.

My heart cries out to You, O God, Maker of everything. The One who sent His beloved, His begotten, His Son.

My heart cries for forgiveness at its wicked ways. It cries for purity when it falls short. It calls for authentic life when it tries to hide behind a mask of shame. My heart cries for You.

And most of all, Lord, I cry out to You because You are worthy of all honor, and glory, and praise. There is no one like You! There will never be another like You. You, and You alone, can save my soul.

Oh, Lord, You are my everything. You are the reason I live. You are the reason I write. You are the reason I open my mouth and proclaim Your truth. What other truth is there but Yours?

To You I lift my voice.

  1. I enjoyed reading this. I see scriptures in your writing. Very powerful indeed. May our hearts continue to cry to GOD.

    Have a bless day.

      1. That is so true. We can not do nothing apart from Him. Have a great day.
