“Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 3:12-14, NASB
Press on, when life is difficult. Press on, when you have failed. Press on, when mistakes leave you broken. Press on, when the way seems veiled.
We are not perfect, but we strive to be holy. We are not perfect, but we strive to obtain, the words, “well done” from our Savior, when we face Him one glorious day.
We have not yet arrived to perfection, something never attainable here. But we grow in His truth, love, and mercy, as each day we move further near.
If believers in the One true Messiah, we must press on forgetting our past. For we know it has been forgiven. We are no longer held in its grasp.
Reach forward towards what lies ahead of you. Face uncertainty with faith in His name.
For we are here for a purpose. To proclaim His glorious name!
